  2. And maybe Swiss reputation wasn't wholly deserved in any case. It is an insular place in certain ways. Women couldn't vote till 1971.
  3. But Switz. has defined itself in terms of tolerance, openness, pluralism, etc, which is why a vote like this one stands out + draws notice.
