  1. @mitchitized http://twitpic.com/s8z8x - Hey, I write code on computers. Normally nobody needs to read my handwriting besides me. ;-) And any
  2. Just wanted to let everybody know that I'm really really happy. Life is good! :-)
  3. Joomla! 1.6 Alpha2 released http://bit.ly/eW05G #joomla
Nein! #bertelsmann
  6. @absalomedia With one of the intermediate steps, no business could have used Joomla for their website.
  7. @absalomedia Wouldn't have expected that from you. You've been asking for enterprise grade quality in Joomla. Everything before this was not
  8. @absalomedia No, the intermediate steps were not usable. Every bigger site would have crashed with one of the intermediate steps.
  9. @absalomedia otherwise Joomla would have had ACL a long time ago. There is a reason that we've been working on this for so long.
  10. @absalomedia Because they are not usable performance and usability wise.
  11. @absalomedia We couldn't release because they did not exist or were not coded before 1.6 You also wouldn't want to use those intermediates
  12. @absalomedia To make this 100% clear: You wont find similarities between phpGACL, ACL in 1.6 Alpha and the current ACL in trunk.
  13. @absalomedia This is based on 6 years of R&D. The other models are all intermediate steps to this solution.
  14. @absalomedia You can call the work that the mentioned people have done whatever way you want, but we didn't just do a "crapshoot".
  15. @absalomedia Thats why it took us 6 years to find this, I dare to say: perfect solution.
  16. @absalomedia Bingo! We had 4-6 different models that we evaluated and even if you followed that closely:The current has been created <6 days
  17. @absalomedia you wrote about something at least 3 weeks old. Old ACL has nothing to do with new ACL both UI and API. New ACL = 5 days
  18. @absalomedia No, I hadn't read your article. But neither did you look at Joomla 1.6. Current ACL != phpGACL, not even remotely.
  19. @absalomedia Comparing the ACL in Alpha and the current trunk is futile. The systems are completely different
  20. @absalomedia or some productive criticism of our work. Otherwise that blog post would have looked a lot different. Don't argue about this
