  2. Now driving back to base; 3rd passenger riding btw Marc & me in truck cab is full stalk of 100+ bananas. He's a cheerful stalk.
  3. Perpetual expansion of infrastructure led us to 600L fish coolers to store rainwater. (No fish have rested in our particular coolers.)
  4. Meanwhile, 3 teams rubbling in the field, 1 team on base infrastructure, 1 team on demo documentation
  5. Realized I may have bought all peanut butter in Padang. All my usual spots still out of stock
  6. Meeting/sourcing day in Padang. Met w/ Kogami, Indonesian NGO working on cleanup and risk reduction programs.

  14. Back at base, 12 hr day in Padang. Meetings & sourcing. Can be complicated to find right mix of tools/materials to keep project going

  18. In Project Yogyakarta, HODR's 2006 earthquake response project in Indonesia, our peak volunteer # was 18. We reached that today, in 10 days!
  19. More people did show up, but all male. Think we may have joined essentially the bachelor party. Groom asked us to come back Thurs at 1PM
  20. Family invited us into their damaged home for tea, dates, a meal, and lots of photos taken on mobile phones
