  1. For those of you who are scared, that Google will istall a solar panel on your roof: They want to create a standard for PC manufacturers.
  2. Worldwide, there is 1 billion PCs in use. Google has to focus no only on theirs datacenters but also on users' computers. (*EG*)
  3. Solar panels installed on the Googleplex roof provide 1/3 energy needed.
  4. Googlers commute on buses and bikes, saving the environment.
  5. Just noticed: Google logo on Urs' presentation has a "mirror shadow" below, just like other Web 2.0 logos :-)
  6. Urs: In a typical data centre up to 65% of the energy is lost (cooling, UPS). Only 35% reaches the computers.

  8. Urs is talking about "green energy". Google will use renewable energy and become carbon neutral by 2008

  10. Marissa: Wikipedia is great, but Google relays on back links.

  14. Marissa: Quality team works on new scoring algorithm to promote good videos and good images.
  15. Marissa: We always had good results. Videos will enhance them, creating universal search together with images, and other services.
  16. Marissa about translation technology. Google Translate will understand foreign queries and translate queries and results on the fly.
  17. Google's webpage is so simple because Larry & Sergey didn't know HTML. Over time that "lack of knowledge" became a sign of Google simplicity
