  1. @VeufTricot no, but it will allow me to continue to work on the book. Which will take my mind off the rabbits outside that are waving at me.
  2. Fixed my prog to use Dynamic Areas not wimp slot space when not multitasking, so works on #RISC _OS 4 as well as 5.
  3. There are rabbits all around the croft, goading me because they know I've not got my air rifle. #Shetland
  4. This place is teeming with rabbits. Wish I had my air rifle, could make a fantastic rabbit pie.
  5. Woke to a lovely sunny day here in Shetland - that's more like it.
  6. Anyone know what this is? Looks a bit like an earwig. twitter.com/GivvyGavvyGoo/…
  7. @nemo20000 yes that's an idea. If I understood it or even vaguely knew how to implement something like that, I'd be even more impressed :\
  8. @nemo20000 my prog needs a rewrite, as it's very slow. It crops white (BG) pixels from around a sprite, by reading each pixel col (BAD!)
  9. @nemo20000 Castles site recommended that an app should avoid claiming DA space if it didn't need to share the memory.
  10. @nemo20000 so what's the easiest way to claim temp memory from DA? My BASIC prog processes a sprite then quits (non multitasking). ...
  11. @nemo20000 I may be wrong, it may well be as much as the available memory on later versions of RO5. I'm away from my Iyonix do can't test.
  12. @WoollyWormhead indeed! :)
  13. @WoollyWormhead I thought you were referring to the Headlights of a Volvo ;)
  14. @ollieclark I agree. I paid for the select scheme for far too long on the promise of 32bit Iyonix version.
  15. @matthewbloch yes, they never tell you that in the manual. Or at the pet shop!
  16. @nemo20000 upto 128MB on RO5.
  17. @ollieclark IMHO it was a lame excuse! But it's all too late now. Not much of future for ROL. I'd rather see ROOL flourish.
  18. @nemo20000 yes that's what I should do. If my app is running as wimp task it uses DA on != RO5, else it uses DIM block%. A lazy hack I did!
