  1. Oh, no. Not Grizz! http://ow.ly/M7fT
  2. The Medicare Buy-In's fate is all but sealed. What does this mean for the public option? http://ow.ly/M72O (via @wonkroom)
  3. R. Kelly's biggest musical crime may be the use of this construction: "your/my love/prowess is similar to this [awesome consumer product]."
  4. RT @heyerinevans: http://bit.ly/76hKPQ very belated via Twitter. but here's my take on the jackson reality show.
  5. @cindylu hi yourself. ;-)
  6. @irna79 oh, man. this person was arguing w/ me about a play she hadn't seen but i had and she also thinks i'm someone else. idjit.
  7. @irna79 what i do wrong?
  8. @cindylu why iffy? you're my hero.
  9. i'm clearly a magnet for Twitterers who are a little dim and really resolute.
  10. @llapen i'm not "disrespecting" your opinion, i'm just disagreeing with it. vehemently.
  11. @llapen no snark, but you knowingly commented in defense of a play you hadn't seen. then got mad @ the pushback from someone who has.
  12. @llapen (this would be much easier if you said what you meant instead of expecting me to intuit it.)
  13. @llapen wait, what? you haven't said any of that.
  14. @llapen but i'll leave you to it. be easy.
  15. @llapen taken out of context? i'm using an analogous example to illustrate my point.
  16. @llapen again, you're assuming "all stories" are being told. the point re: magical negroes/people of color is that that isn't happening.
  17. @llapen the character's fundamental decency isn't about her, it's about Teaching White Folks a Lesson.
  18. @llapen this is sort of like saying that Michael Clarke-Duncan'c character in the Green Mile isn't problematic because he was a nice person.
  19. @llapen they're just composites of desirable traits, like emotional sturdiness/pragmatism. We don't see the character's interior life @ all.
  20. @llapen the issue is they're not showing her as in love. This is how Magical Negroes are; they actually don't have characters.
