Maybe it was just coincidental with the Windows XP update. Proxy box in Chrome got checked. Finally able to reinstall Tweetdeck.

Uninstalled Tweetdeck, Seesmic, Twirl and Adobe Air. Reinstalled Air. Get error message when reinstalling other apps. Grrrr!

@ It killed Google Chrome, Tweetdeck, Seesmic, and surprisingly, the old version of IE I never use. Fortunately Firefox is still ok.
