  1. @dadsoffthecouch I got one blue screen after the first reboot. After half a dozen additional reboots, things seem to have fixed themselves.
  2. @gtowna ...Both are here. Both make important contributions.
  3. @gtowna Yeah, I think there are some who ride the wave from one big thing to the next. Some commit themselves longer-term to one thing...
  4. @gtowna Of course, a lot of us stick with China because we have so much invested in the language.
  5. @gtowna Check out the thriving, entrepreneurial expat community in Hanoi, for example.
  6. @gtowna I think it's people bored with the ordinary, looking for the next big thing. But China isn't the only "next big thing".
  7. @gtowna I think the fascination crosses ethnic groups. It's more of a personality type that is fascinated with China.
  8. @zhmeadow 我只是开玩笑!:)
  9. @blcsfo Woosh! (That was the sound of my sarcasm going over your head.)
  10. Maybe #gfw people sneaked in and played with my computer while I was out. Mission accomplished. I did nothing productive all afternoon.
  11. Maybe it was just coincidental with the Windows XP update. Proxy box in Chrome got checked. Finally able to reinstall Tweetdeck.
  12. Uninstalled Tweetdeck, Seesmic, Twirl and Adobe Air. Reinstalled Air. Get error message when reinstalling other apps. Grrrr!
  13. @stinson They will start, but won't connect to the internet. Would suspect some kind of DNS shenanigans if Firefox weren't working fine.
  14. @stinson It killed Google Chrome, Tweetdeck, Seesmic, and surprisingly, the old version of IE I never use. Fortunately Firefox is still ok.
  15. Anyone else having problems after the latest Windows XP update? (Not in the mood for comments from Mac users.)
  16. Latest Windows XP update just killed Google Chrome browser and Tweetdeck. Neither will work now. WTF?!
  17. @darnoc Morales studies foreign policy under Chavez: whomever the US doesn't like is my pal -- even if the blind leads the blind.
  18. @darnoc Must be because Iran has such a great record at extracting and refining natural resources. :)
