  1. Did get 14 dozen rose bouquets; shelves and toys people dumped, new clothes, scarf, gloves, caps, coach purse, and a 1943 wheat penny:)
  2. Store dumped 45 ice cream cakes--$750 worth--melted, I couldn't rescue to donate to food bank as I don't ck as often, got to wk to pay bills
  3. Took 3 boxes of strawberries, lettuce, carrots, tomatoes, potatoes, onions, squash, apples, pears, pineapples, to food bank after sorting!
  4. Just picked up 7 melons, 5 boxes of donuts, 15 pkg. salad, bananas, onions, apples, etc., after delivering 5 boxes bread, fruit to food bank
  5. @rotkapchen Yes, a network of food sharing is good.Most ppl won't glean because afraid +weak backs & muscles--can't lift huge boxes of food.

  8. @rotkapchen $500-$1,000 per store thrown out per day by large grocery chains--but only about 10% of stores have accessible bins.
  9. @rotkapchen There are a few more people looking in trash for goodies, most not following the safe, neat, discreet practices I recommend!
  10. Be neat and discreet! One huge grocer changed their bins from easy access to hard access over 5' tall 'cause of sloppy, messy trash diggers!
  11. Took 5 overflowing boxes of bananas, onions, bread, apples to a food bank...there is so much thrown out by large grocers in the 'burbs!

  13. Need free food in Phoenix? Boxes for ppl who need 11am-1pm tues &saturdays at NW corner church warner/elliot loop & equestrian way off I-10
  14. 1/2 sheet cake, 12 pies, 15 dozen pkg bagels, watermelon, potatoes, grapes, bananas, apples, peaches, 3 dz pkg cookies, etc.
  15. Got 6 boxes chickens, bread, cakes, cookies, subs, bagels, bananas, potatoes, apples, and took to a family in need after sorting through.
  16. they dumped 150 loaves bread Sun.am., 6 sheet cakes, several pies,rolls. I watched them dump, then scrambled to get it before dumptruck
  17. Sat. found rolling hard golf case ($169 new), skis, poles, case, & scopemeter in hard rolling case by weekend dumper atop 50 loaves bread
  18. Just delivered 5 boxes of bread, cakes, fruit rollups, apples, potatoes, onions,melons, tomatoes, cooked chicken to church that feeds hungry
  19. @madtruthseekeR The 2 hour time frame is for perishable stuff.
