  1. @Liz_Pix Thanks Liz_Pix. There's quite a bit left to do between now and the conference - many late nights
  2. The difference between a slide show and a photo essay is slim
  3. @editblog It's free on netflix instant view. It was mediocre - lots of talking head.
  4. @leedya I guess you're in Madison. Let me know if you want to stop by and meet Virginia
  5. @dave_clark Pretty amazing - but it's fake - here is the almost as impressive actual show - http://vimeo.com/5677879
  6. @behindthecut but was the storytelling any good / compelling
  7. @jeremycowart Another video of the "real Africa" - maybe not one we want to see http://vimeo.com/7196941
  8. finally on the way home it will be nice to actually be with the family for a good length of time
  9. @Maria_56 Well rant on - I will be part of the listening (and appreciative) audience
  10. @Maria_56 Didn't desktop publishing claim to make designers obsolete? There's no subsitute for skill/talent ,no matter how easy the tech is
  11. @andymees how is it not legal?
  12. Just finished "Ink" - low budget can create a compelling fantasy world. Let's hope their distribution model works so others can follow
  13. @digitalreb @editblog - thanks for your help. It's never as easy as I think it should be....
  14. @editblog Can you install just codecs in FCP?
  15. Anyone know if you can take the new flavors of ProRes from FCP 7 and use them in FCP 6?
  16. @killbutton That's depressing that you have that many dead HDDs/
  17. @ahc Is that a new position or filling one that already exists?
  18. @jayfriesen more an issue with monitoring and metering. If you get clean audio in, it's good. The Magic Lantern firmware hack is helpful
  19. @jayfriesen 5d is great as a b-camera - esp for closeups and portraits. Until they offer a good audio setup in camera, it'll be option 2.
  20. invention i'd like? bluetooth that syncs recording b/t 5d and audio device
