  3. 3% Daily Value (DV) = 3% of 65 grams, the total fat grams rec for a 2,000 calorie diet. 5 grams fat, 100 cal = 7.6% DV, but 45% fat cals.
  4. Calculate fat % in product: grams fat x 9 divided by the total calories in product. Multiply x 100 . 100 cal, 5 g fat = 45 div. 100 = 45%
  5. The Daily Value (% on food labels) shows % fat a nutrient contributes to a diet of 2,000 cal. It doesn't tell you the % fat in the product.
