  1. Food watch: National Zucchini Day! Chargrill strips of zucchini, cover with olive oil, garlic & herbs, leave to marinate. Serve on crostini.
  2. Grate raw turnip, beetroot & fennel into salad to give it an extra special bite, ideal w/ BBQ ribs & boiled spuds w/ fresh mint & butter.
  3. Stock up on spices for Christmas now - cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and ginger are all essential when making punch, cakes or Yuletide biccies!
  4. Word of the day: 'casarecce' - partially rolled pappardelle pasta, beautiful with pesto and ricotta.
  5. Throw a Thanksgiving party this wknd! Give turkey a Creole edge by smothering w/ cayenne, paprika, oregano, butter & garlic before roasting.
  6. Roving foodie: Can't wait to sup at Jamie Oliver's new Italian in Guildford, UK. The fritto misto & beef carpaccio are apparently delizioso!
  7. Magic ingredient: 'Provolone' - a piquante semi-hard Italian cheese, great in white sauce or on pizza. Delish topped w/ red chilli & salami.
  8. Food watch: It's national garlic day! Slice a bulb in half across the middle and sit cuts of meat on top of it before roasting. Mmmm.
  9. Roving foodie: Had amazing tapas at La Vina in Liverpool. Esp recommend sangria & 'pollo al estilo pedro', chicken in a cream & prune sauce.
  10. Make meatballs! Pork mince, onion, garlic, cumin, cinnamon, chilli, sundried tom, egg & breadcrumbs, roll in flour, fry, throw into passata!
  11. Substitute flour in cakes with ground hazelnuts or almonds. It's healthier and will make your dessert MUCH more gooey. Mmm.
  12. Word of the day: Griddle zucchini, capsicum, garlic, cover in olive oil & leave for 2hrs min. Throw into bowl of pasta w/parmesan, lemon.
  13. Roving foodie: Had delicious day at Borough Market, London Bridge. Washed down sizzling chorizo & pepper ciabattas w/ hot, spiced cider.
  14. It's Friday! Do something extra spesh for lunch - fry chorizo & throw into salad of rocket, feta, pumpkin, pine nuts & sundried tomatoes...
  15. Making steak & ale pie! Slow cook steak, mushroom, onion, garlic, stock, Guinness, cover w/puff pastry & bake! Perfect w/ pumpkin mash..
  16. Roving foodie: Looking forward to checking out London Borough Market on Fri..we hear they do the best hog roasts, mushroom & creamy cakes!
  17. Luscious lunch! Mix cannelini beans, tuna, celery, spring onion w/ tsp mayo, load onto toasted ciabatta. Drizzle w/chilli oil & balsamic.
  18. Sunday BBQ time! Mix grated carrot, cabbage, fennel, beetroot, onion w/grain mustard, lemon juice, greek yoghurt & olive oil for yum 'slaw.
  19. Roving foodie: Washing down kimchi in Seoul with condensation-y glasses of Ob Blue and Cass Draught lagers. Refreshing and delicious!
  20. Word of the day: 'Flambe' - pour small amount of alcoholic liquid over food then set alight. Try w/brandy over mushrooms, & add cream!
