@ Presumably because of his shooting form, high-school record, what scouts have seen, etc. I don't know. I haven't scouted him.

@ Again, he might be a superstar for all I know. But no-one projects him as an elite three-point shooter.

@ Right. There's a reputation/projection as a shooter to fall back on. Who says that about Lamb?

@ I'm not dismissing Lamb as a player. Haven't seen enough. But 3P-shooting not his calling card.

@ Kleiza's career 3P% is lower than Rudy's. Lamb shot 34% last year from college three. Those aren't shooters.

@ If I'm dealing Rudy for role players/mid-lotto pick/flexibility -- which I might do -- I want more shooting coming back.

@ Rudy's PER was 17.8. Thanks for proving my point about people assuming the best value from a pick instead of most likely value.

@ Didn't dismiss it. It's a deal worth talking about. But there's no sure thing Top 7 rotation player coming back. "Dominate"?

@ I think people overrate mid-lottery picks because they assume the best, not the average value.

@ All 3 vets in that deal had a sub-15 PER last year (15 = leag. avg.). Last 5 #8 picks: Knight/Aminu/J.Hill/J.Alexander/B.Wright

@ So there's nothing conceivable in-between? Maybe something involving a Marcus Thornton or Klay Thompson + stuff?

@ That's about the worst deal I would actually consider. Wouldn't do it, though.

The worst part about having Tony Allen on your t-shirt is that he silently judges you while you apply hair product.

@ Better pro? John Jenkins or Doron Lamb?

@ Should have gotten better value than a late first (which they then blew) for Lowry, though.

@ Yeah. I always liked Lowry as a player, but they had to make a choice and I never thought they made the wrong one.

@ Well, I think most of knew that Lowry had a chippy personality. So does Lionel. Oil and water, maybe.

Maybe the Kyle Lowry-Lionel Hollins issue was more about Lowry:

@ Right. But when you have $7.5 to spend and half of that will go to Arthur or Speights, options are limited.

@ If they don't deal RG and can't draft a PG (M.Teague?), feel like they may be stuck with the Selby/Pargo/maybe Arenas mix there.
