  1. Apparently music is actually still played on non USA versions of MTV. Saw this in Asia and Nicaragua.
  2. Ample volcanic soil means amazing produce in Nicaragua. Wholefoods eat your heart out.

  5. Outside the market in Granada there are money changers holding huge wads of cash. They are bank employees not black market independents.

  7. Photographer´s tan. I haz one. Top of one hand and part of forearm sunburned.
  8. Taking a water taxi to a beach in San Juan del Sur. Look forward to dipping toes in warm Pacific Ocean.
  9. Have seen many 60+ Americans travelling independently in Nicaragua. There seem to be more of them than backpackers so far.
  10. Spent the night on Ometepe Island. Now in San Juan del Sur.
  11. Central America is where old U.S. school buses come to be refashioned as public transportation. Took a few today back and forth to Masaya.
  12. Off to Ometepe Island in the morning. Enjoying Nicaragua and its people. Lovely place.
  13. Spent the day in a few villages near Granada including one known for witch doctors.
  14. Thanks to all who have listed me. Will delve into lists when i am back from Nicaragua.
  15. Took a boat around the small islands on the lake in Granada. Many are for sale folks. Beautiful place.
  16. Granada is full of Yankee fans. Widescreens on the streets last night showing the game.
  17. Flight to Managua cancelled. Rebooked but stuck in Miami for 8 hours. Thank goodness for lounge access.
