  1. Hmmm nice Fusion IO ioDrive Duo 640 (MLC) landed on the desk this morning :-)
  2. Fusion IO announces new ioDrive Octal drives http://bit.ly/vFmfF . 8 ioDimm modules for upto 5TB and 6GB/s bandwidth, 800'000 IOPS.
  3. http://tweetphoto.com/59ec22 CrystalMark Disk performance results of an Striped volume on Fusion IO ioDrive Duo 320.
  4. I just voted for http://pic.gd/034d92 Check it out! #TweetPhoto
  5. http://tweetphoto.com/2284c3 Excellent performance and IOPS using a striped volume on a Fusion IO ioDrive Duo 320 (2x modules) 1.4Gb/s read.
  6. @ErikBussink http://pic.gd/f98782 Great performance and IOPS using a single module on a Fusion IO ioDrive Duo 320. (Make sure to use 64K blo
  7. @solori My FusionIO issues are linked to the software raid across the various ioDimm. The limiting factor is the CPU (Opteron 8384 @2.7GHz)
  8. As a VMware Distributor/Integrator we are not allowed to go to VMUG, but VMware wants us in VMware Customer Program for references? mrkt :-)
  9. @solori I'm installing some benchmarking tools... Atto, HD Tune Pro, CrystalMark disk. Going to see where the issue is.
  10. Bad Fusion IO implementation, 4x Fusion IO Duo 320 cards with a single W2K8 Soft RAID5 on top. In degraded mode, 400MB/s Read, 10MB/s Write
  11. HP advisory for HP Blades (BL465c, BL495) with ESX 4.0 having "System Board X ProcHot warning" http://bit.ly/MFbek
  12. Fusion IO's ioManager for the ioDrive Duo 320 lacks alerting features (smtp, wmi).Over a week of seriously degraded perf due to lack of alert
  13. Installing Supermicro SNK-P0040AP4 CPU Cooler (19.5dB @2050rpm) in new workstation http://bit.ly/46wgcm
  14. @SimonLong_ Are both you're screens of the same size ?
  15. @solori Yep, the iButton : AOC-IMRRAKEY-2008-LSI for the Supermicro X8DTH-6F. A SuperQuiet workstation for the home.
  16. @solori I did order the RAID5 option for the LSI Logic 2008 SAS2 Controller, so I will test it against the LSI 9260-8i SAS2 (RoC)
  17. @solori I was surprised by the results. The LSI Logic 2008 SAS2 controller can do Raid 1, but it's not the LSI Logic 2108 Raid-on-Chip.
  18. Supermicro has a new SuperQuiet (38db) Tower chassis : SuperChassis 747TG-R1400B-SQ http://bit.ly/11uzGB
  19. LSI SAS2 2008 Controller in RAID1 has a write speed of 7MB/s (2x Seagate 1.5TB ST31500341AS). Very disappointing. (Supermicro X8DTH-6F)
  20. Ordered a LSI 9260-8i SAS2 RAID card to replace the Supermicro X8DTH-6F limited embedded LSI 2008 SAS2 Controller.
