  1. @alvinashcraft That's not Silverlight on the iPhone. It's just (ironically) HTML 5 <video>.
  2. @jongalloway She's talking about an HTML 5 <video> element pointing to the IIS streaming server, confusing that with SL on iPhone.
  3. Been experimenting with using jQuery to work with custom events on JS objects instead of DOM elements. Interesting and useful.
  4. Watching @shanselman on information overload from Oredev: http://bit.ly/5gr3Nt
  5. CIOs fear IT exodus when the economy improves and IT staff resent current situation. Interesting problem. http://bit.ly/51uKsK
  6. @scottgal Have you tried the AIR app or Yahoo Widget for Tick? I used to use the Yahoo Widget and it was decent.
  7. @karlseguin That's how the AJAX Control Toolkit made ASP.NET AJAX seem "bloated", injecting script/css references per plugin.
  8. @karlseguin Are you sure you want page rendering to wait on your JavaScript download?
  9. Blogged (finally): Emulate ASP.NET validation groups with jQuery validation http://encosia.com/948
  10. @johnsheehan Don't worry. 1,500+ words coming to an RSS reader near you any minute now.
  11. @reallyJim Yeah, that's been my hesitation too. This is what it would look like: http://twitpic.com/qrkwl
  12. Thinking about changing my blog posts to left justified text instead of full justified. Any opinions on that, pro or con?
  13. @cwigley @infinitiesloop Float elements left (or right) for "flow" layout. Overflow: hidden their container elements. That's 99.9% of it.
  14. @vcsjones If only tires came with digitally (mechanically?) signed lugnuts!
  15. Knowing how to find device drivers and software updates is the modern equivalent of knowing how to change a tire.
  16. @LeeDumond You're probably right. I have considered dropping it (usually while rewording a sentence to fit full justification well).
  17. @danaseverance No, not this close to the holidays.
  18. I spend *entirely* too much time rewording paragraphs on my blog so that they don't have bad spacing with the full justification.
  19. @codinghorror Don't worry, I've got a few zillion emails I can forward you with exciting offers to remedy just those ailments.
  20. @alanstevens Now I feel rude for getting up and eating away from the computer!
