  1. Just finished a bit being a Wassail Wench for a madrigal dinner. Fun! Didn't realize how long I've been off Twitter. Much to catch up on.

  3. @lauraloveslux I'd like to try Evan's topcoat but I'm wondering what beeswax, damar, and lots of luster wax would do. Ever try it?

  6. @lauraloveslux I never have and don't think I ever would.But I did see a DVD where one artist made cold wax med. with wax& turp.Scary stuff.

  8. An encaustic medium question: Have any of you added turp or mineral spirit to medium to pour on a work as a glaze?

  14. @bgmillsart I truly like Rothko's work but, I don't think I would want to read his thoughts in detail, however his techniques, yes.

  17. Returned from a workshop in MD given by Kevin Fitzgerald. It was the affirmation of my work that fine tuned me. I feel on the cusp.

  20. @PaMathey My son is a metal sculptor but his day job is repairing appliances, like friges and stoves and such.Ya can't eat metal for a meal!
