  1. Christmas is now gone from our house. It feels good to get back home.
  2. I feel old school: we're getting food at the drive-thru window from Livermore In-N-Out.
  3. Ran 7 miles around the Lake. Now, lunch. Next, 700 mile journey home.
  4. Just mailed 60 pounds of stuff to California in a giant cardboard box. Days like this, I wish I had a covered wagon.
  5. Boy just coerced me into letting him drink half my hot cider, which is no small feat for someone wearing a gift box as a hat.
  6. I totally made a soup based on the Julia Child recipe. I am awesome.
  7. Ate tasty Chinese food after the Chinese Garden. Wait, I like Chinese food now??? Hm, guess so.
  8. I love the Portland Children's Museum! Why can't we live next door?
  9. Ran the Lake with my brother before his flight. Nice way to spend New Year's morning, even though it poured on us.
  10. Pine State Biscuit is awesome. And so is shopping in downtown Portland. Rain runs, though? Definitely eh.
  11. Here's something I never expected to say: we just made a snowman in my parents' driveway. Out of snow.
  12. I believe that the snow will melt. Because now it's raining.
  13. Dude, there's, like, 3 inches of snow after just 2 hours. I'm feeling Californian (& glad I ran 5 miles before it started).
  14. "You're, like, stagnating my process, man!"
  15. Any Fresno-area moms who want to tell me their quitting the binky stories for an article? Please send me a message if you'd like to share!
  16. Brunch, wine tasting, & toddler mayhem. Good day!
  17. People are actually waiting outside in a long line to go inside the Coach outlet. People are crazy.
  18. It's COLD! But we're having a great holiday season, and I hope you are, too!
  19. Ran around the Lake, which is 7 miles of not-that-gentle hills. Pretty though.
  20. Okay, all systems go. In limo (Navigator?) en actual route to the Lake.
