  5. But it was an incredibly empowering, extreme, & positive life-changing experience 2 - I'm glad and proud that I have done it.
  6. I've been asked today "would I do it again?" The answer: "no - walking once to the North Pole in my lifetime is enough for me".
  7. ...whether I'd make it & why I was putting myself through so much pain. The msgs, followers, donations, etc. helped me cross the line.
  8. Thank u again 2 everyone who supported me. It was incredibly tough, physically, mentally and emotionally. There were times I questioned ..
  9. Off to physio now to see if we can regain some of the feeling in my fingers and ease the aching legs.
  10. But really pleased to be home safely with Dilek and Thalia. And feeling reasonably rested after 12 hrs sleep.
  11. In contrast to the isolation of the arctic only 48 hrs ago, central London, the crowds, buildings, noise, etc. feels quite disorientating
  12. I return home knowing that the most precious aspects of my life are Dilek & Thalia!
  13. Monday, 10 May - back in Resolute Bay. Shower, hot food & a bed were heaven! Flying back to UK on Wednesday, 12 May
  14. Unable 2 speak or focus. Just moving 1 foot in front of another. Incredible!

  16. Medic has advised that I will regain feeling in fingers over course of next few weeks.
  17. Team completel exhausted, aching muscles, blisters. I lot sensation in 3 fingers
  18. Had to cover 20 miles from North Pole to airstrip. Nearly missed pick up, was climbing mountain towards plane with only minutes to go.
  19. Reached the North Pole at 8.30 am local time. Very tired but happy. Thanks to everyone for their support!
  20. We´ve just had a fire in the tent which we managed to put out. Gary is a hero!
