I regularly get panic calls from bkprs who need frames, foundation, hive boxes because "my bees have swarmed !". So, bees swarm, who knew?

In we saw these two bee trucks by the roadside. Bkprs were taking honey from each hive. No smoke no veils

Took advantage of the warm day and did . Had to split 3 hives as ready to swarm. Packed car and trailer and off to 2 sites tomorrow.

@ the flower meadows, forests of sweet chestnut and limes and honeydew from conifers all make for a honeybee paradise.

@ no not go to the caves but did visit the Vintgar Gorge which we really enjoyed. It gets busy later in season but quiet in May.
