  1. @JCarrington3 100% agreed.
  2. So I think it's safe to say RED has abandoned the "soccer mum" market. Retargeting prosumer video & indie film, looks like.
  3. @misterperry REDCODE vs. h264 & less rolling shutter.
  4. EPIC S35: Tattoo early '10, Stage 2 NABish, Stage 3&4 pre-Summer '10; Scarlet 2/3" (both): May-June '10; Scarlet S35: Summer '10
  5. @djsmackmackey Solid imagery downsampled to 1080p, lots of room to breathe in FX and color, no Jellovision.
  6. @djsmackmackey IMO resolution is the throw-away aspect of RED products. More important are image compression & dynamic range.
  7. Fixed lens Scarlet now $4750 -- no longer a dam smasher but still def. an HVX killer.
  8. Item 21 showing off RED's trademark QC of announcements.
  9. Scarlet announcement: http://red.cachefly.net/N30...
  10. We need to roll these RED Ray into theatres ASAP. Down comes traditional distribution.
  11. I will say, I didn't even really think "RED Ray consumer" was on the table, so that could be very neat.
  12. @spacesimon What's funny is it's apparently a DIVX stream. "CD1.avi"?
  13. @editblog They made an announcement that everything's pushed back a month? I assumed included today's announcement of future announcements.
  14. @rebeccawatson The best part is you can sell it multiple times. How would they know the difference?
  15. Previous posts in the series: Pre-Production (http://tinyurl.com/yzkzksj) and Production (http://tinyurl.com/y8une4c)
  16. Finished my blog series on the making of "Spy Games." Post-Production and Reshoots: http://tinyurl.com/yc2j5un
  17. New rule: No posting about "Climategate" til you read emails yourself. Everyone's quoting same passages & they're no doubt out of context.
  18. @NateCow I expect not. My support of science and evidence over preconceived ideologies is only to be expected by now.
  19. @NateCow Yes, a collection of emails between a few people certainly negates hundreds of peer-reviewed articles and un-melts the ice caps.
  20. @LuckyBestWash Next time Trey can't make a show, I want to do KARATE KID and CROUCHING TIGER with you subbing in.
