  1. Unfortunately neither dog made it to the second series. Both Eric and I are disappointed but looking forward to hunting season.
  2. Fanny was not as diligent on her retriever but finally got it to Eric. Solo seemed to do fine and we were hopeful for a birth into series 2
  3. Solo and Fanny both competed on the first day. Each had nice runs and were awarded the opportunity for a retrieve after the first series.
  4. Back from the GSP Nationals and all caught up. Had a great time with everyone and saw some excellent dogs. Only downside - rain and rain!
  5. Solo and Fanny are primed and ready to go. Fanny competes in the 6th brace and Solo is in the 10 brace of the first series.
  6. My friend Eric and I are heading to the GSPCA National Amateur Championships tomorrow morning. We hope to miss the snow and bad roads.
  7. In my limited time at the event it was great to see the water work and field events. These truly are the most versatile of field dogs.
  8. Went to the VDD-GNA Armbruster 2009 Zuchtprüfung in Cheyenne, WY on Thursday and had a great time. It was great to see so many Drahthaars.
  9. Don't forget to condition your dogs prior to the hunting season. The couch is nice but the dogs can go soft. Hunters need conditioning too.
  10. After competing Solo and I will turn our attention to the reason that we do all of this - pheasants and quail. The season will be here soon.
  11. The GSP National Amateur starts October 3rd. Eric Cook and I are headed to Eureka, KS to give Solo and Fanny a shot at the title.
  12. I'm very happy with Solo's performance and it goes without saying that his training and conditioning have gone well this summer/fall.
  13. This past weekend Solo had the following placement at the GSP of Colorado trial - 2nd Place Open Limited Gun Dog.
  14. Mile High Weimaraner Trial - Solo had the following placement - 1st Place Amateur Gun Dog.
  15. Solo has performed well over the last 3 field trials - Skyline Brittany Trial - 2nd Place Open Gun Dog, 1st Place Amateur Gun Dog.
  16. Will run Solo in the Open and Amateur Gun dog. Another step to getting him ready for the GSP National Championships in Eureka, KS.
  17. Plan to run Deuce for the first time from horse back. Should be interesting to see his reaction. I think he will take to it nicely.
  18. Mile High Weimaraner Club trial this weekend. Small entry but should be a good time. Leave today about 2:00pm, arrive at about 4:00pm.
  19. New products are arriving all the time. Check out www.dogsunlimited.com for the latest. Also sign up for our emails on our home page.
  20. Needless to say, it is my opinion that Deuce's future is bright. Now it is up to me to mold him into one fine bird dog.
