  3. Obama is declared the winner. Nisha turns to me and asks, "So NOW can I wear higher heels?"
  4. enjoying a recent 'special' lyric: "...and we'll go fishing in a crydad hole" Caught any 'crydads' lately? gotta love it!
  5. Took the kids on a night hike with flashlights to look at Halloween decorations. We made up scary stories as we waked.
  6. Nisha has sewn a wallet, coin purse, and an outside pocket on her hand-sewn purse. She will really appreciate the sewing machine later.
  7. Nisha sewed herself a shoulder bag tonight while watching Olympic games coverage. She jumped for joy when Shawn Johnson received gold.

  9. We have received our excusal letter for one more year of homeschooling. Ravi is just beginning first grade homeschool, Nisha third grade.
  10. Nisha and Ravi are reading up a storm. We use online reading programs, books on cassette, and just plain books. We love Dick, Jane, Sally...
  11. Getting ready to celebrate my Dad's 78th birthday. Today we bought a pink cake. Barbecue on Sunday. It is also Ravi's 6-and-a-half birthday
  12. just got back from taking the kids to the dentist. Only one cavity between the two of them. Tonight Ravi has baseball practice.

  16. I am preparing the lesson plan for Sunday. I am teaching the story of the Bodhi tree arriving in Sri Lanka from India.
  17. Took the kids to the children's museum. I always get a headache in museums, but ESPECIALLY that one! They had a great time!
  18. Took the kids to hike a trail in the park. I can remember some of the names of the wildflowers. I taught them what poison ivy looks like.
  19. Homeschool gym and art class was a blast today. I loved watching the kids running and playing organized games in the big gymnasium!
  20. Homemade, wheat-free pancakes...yummmm! Putting away the yard sale now. It is all going to Goodwill...
