  2. Came down with a heavy cold. Must be something to do with coming from 100 degree heat to a British winter.
  3. Chanted my Gayatri mantra as the sun rose over Afghanistan this morning. Back to Heathrow and drizzle, cold, and darkness. Bad karma?
  4. Riding on the back of a motorbike through Chennai rush-hour traffic - at night. Dangerous but super fun. Now at airport waiting for flight
  5. Absolutely bucketed down with monsoon rain today. Grey all day. Talk about Indian summer. Mind you, the nights have been 82F so rain is good
  6. Hot. Just saw a herd of camels and went for a swim - in that order. A dust storm blew up and was followed by the last of the monsoon rain.
  7. Bombay airport looks just like Stanstead now - with free internet access. What a good idea. Jet airways was good but I didn't sleep

  11. Just booked my ticket to India. Off to Mumbai, for Indore and Ujjain, then return from Chennai. I hope to meet one of the 'Vaishnava popes'
