  1. @Bruceeverett "Skepticism" has many definitions. I refer to a specific movement/field of inquiry with a specific body of literature.
  2. @Bruceeverett Science requires a skeptical attitude; does not require the skeptical movement's domain-specific knowledge of pseudoscience.
  3. @Bruceeverett …and your scientific training will very probably (but not necessarily) help you to be a better skeptic.
  4. @Bruceeverett If you're a skeptic AND a scientist you have the same chance as your scientific peers to contribute to the lit in your field…
  5. Blogger Darrin Chandler critiques my "awfully belittling view of skepticism" http://phxbsd.com/skeptics-on-science.html
  6. @JeffWagg I don't know if we're talking about the same thing, but I agree: skepticism needs much more humility. I look to Sagan, too.
  7. @doctoratlantis Sure thing. Do you have a timeline in mind? And yes, @neuralgourmet would be a strong contributor.
  8. A mildly critical response to my Skepticblog article: http://starkreal.blogspot.com/2009/12/what-if-anything-can-skeptics-say-about.html
  9. RT @michaelshermer: I'm speaking at TED again, Long Beach, CA, Feb 10 2010, w/Sam Harris, Bill Gates, etc.: http://conferences.ted.com/T ...
  10. @reedes Thanks, but it's natural: you're a voice to listen to in the skeptical movement.
  11. @reedes mentions that the geology-themed blog that reviewed my post http://tinyurl.com/y9wy2sy is authored by Colorado skeptic @katsudonburi
  12. @AmSci This brings us to one of the life's major Rules of Everything: "Everything is a mixed bag."
  13. A response to my "What, If Anything, Can Skeptics Say About Science?" post, from a geology-themed blog: http://tinyurl.com/y9wy2sy
  14. Awesome! RT @BadAstronomer Very funny and sweet skeptical song, "My Astrology Girlfriend": http://is.gd/5xzP1
  15. Scienceblogs' James Hrynyshyn responds to my "What, if anything, can skeptics say about science?" post http://tinyurl.com/yartvbt
  16. My new blog post: "What, if anything, can skeptics say about science?" http://bit.ly/549fr6
  17. Thanks to @reedes @AmSci @Skepdude @DavidBloomberg @Nigel_Whitehall for the kind words!
  18. Yes, that about cinches it! RT @DailyGrail DailyGrail Forget Kermit. Sagan *is* Agent Smith. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BlpyGhABXRA
  19. @IDoubtIt (Psst! I'm pretty sure Objective Ministries is a spoof.)
  20. @BrianDunning I always thought Carl Sagan sounded a lot like Kermit the Frog. (Also, Paul Kurtz sounds like Stan The Man Lee.)
