  1. @John_Papa: You all set on your PDC talk(s)? Still finalizing my DevConnections stuff...been buried as I'm sure you are with the new job.
  2. @John_Papa: Yep..that'd be cool for sure I'd actually get an iPhone if Sprint carried it but I'm really loving my Android phone...awesome.
  3. @John_Papa: Just change it out for another....oh....can't do that with an iPhone. :-)
  4. Finishing up some RIA Services and Microsoft Ajax Template talks I'm giving next week at DevConnections in Vegas. Fun topics....
  5. @adkinn: I'll be at PDC...and happen to like Silverlight a little bit :-)
  6. @PLangeberg: It's basically LINQ to SQL on steroids. Eliminates some of the limitations.
  7. @ambroselittle: From the various comments it seems video plus an article is the way to go. Everyone's happy.
  8. @ambroselittle: Yeah...completely agree with you when it comes to problem solving. For new learning I like video though.
  9. @PLangeberg: Yep...with PLINQO I right-click a file and it regenerates all the code within about 5 seconds....very nice and a big time saver
  10. @ambroselittle: I think it's all about learning style. For me, I retain a lot more if I see something in action vs. reading it.
  11. @jglozano: I mean that I have to create all the objects and relationships by hand right? If DB changes, objects have to be adjusted right?
  12. @ambroselittle: Play at 2X speed :-)
  13. @jglozano: Thanks...appreciate the info. My only hang-up there is creating all the infrastructure obejcts with FluentNH...have a big DB.
  14. @jglozano: Thanks...and sorry for the 100 questions. I'll have to look at how that all integrates. Does NHLINQ and FluentNH require NH?
  15. @StanleyGlass: Right on...I definitely learn much faster that way especially if the videos are too the point.
  16. @donnfelker: Any tools to help gen any of that code? DB we're working with is good sized and creating all the relationships would be painful
  17. @donnfelker: Took a look at that a few months ago and looks really nice. Thanks...
  18. @jglozano: XML by hand for NH or are there some good tools to auto-generate that? Seems like CodeSmith had something there...
  19. @jglozano: Have you used NH LINQ much? Nice and stable I'm assuming...although where's the fun in that? :-)
  20. @jglozano: Nice...that was the only reason I didn't move to it. No excuses now. Having said that, I really do like PLINQO.
