  1. Be consistent. When you make changes to your diet/exercise habits it sometimes takes you body a little time to react. Don't be discouraged.
  2. Little changes make a world of difference. These changes add up. 1 less soda a day can equal 10-15 lbs of FAT lost per year.

  5. The plank position for core exercise. From the push-up position, balance on your elbows/forearms and toes. Stay straight. Hold 30-60 sec.

  9. Learn to manage your triggers. Avoid people, places and things that cause bingeing. Recognize your triggers and avoid or conquer them.
  10. You need 1 exercise that you find fun. Hiking, biking, basketball, kayaking, whatever. This can get you going when you don't feel like it.
  11. Have most of your calories for breakfast and lunch. Having the majority of your calories early gives you time to burn them off.
  12. Don't get off to a sugary start. Cereals that seem healthy can be sugar heavy. Too much sugar in the morning can cause you 2 overeat all day
  13. The most important part of weight control? Planning. The more detailed your plan the better your chances. 1 hour per week planning = success
  14. Use SMALL amounts of higher cal/fat foods to add flavor to larger amounts of low cal/fat foods.
  15. Exercise according to your fitness level BUT....for dramatic results you have to have a workout that is intense for YOU.
  16. When weight training, don't overtrain. Your muscles need time to heal. You can prevent further gains and injure yourself by overtraining.
  17. Varying your workout routine and intensity can help you break thru weight loss plateaus. Have 3-4 cardio routines & switch every few weeks.

  19. Try reducing stress with deep breathing exercises. You won't burn any calories but you will help your waistline by reducing your stress.
  20. Artificial sweeteners can stimulate your appetite. These sweeteners make diet soda a poor choice. Nothing works for you like water does.
