  1. Sometimes I wish I were a drinker.
  2. I'm so grateful to have my mom healthy enough to be home, even if her new physical therapy regimen seems to consist of talking ALL DAY LONG.
  3. Now that I have bought out the ENtire Whole Foods Market of Princeton, NJ, we're all stocked up for Mom's return home tomorrow!
  4. Whew.
  5. This has got to have been one of my worst Christmas eves ever. Bonus: Christmas can probably only get better from here!
  6. I'm going back to Jersey, Jersey, Jersey. I'm going back to Jersey.. hmm, I don't think so.
  7. Good news: Mom will go home soon. Bad news: figuring out how we're going to take care of her is stressing me out!

  9. No. Sleep. Til Brooklyn!!!
  10. Mom finally in rehab place. Dare I dream that I might be able to sleep in Brooklyn tomorrow night?!
  11. Oh, Giants. It's sad when I feel a bit relieved that it wasn't a complete blowout.
  12. They tried to make Mom go to rehab, she said no, no... well, yes, actually.
  13. Mom got moved to the step-down unit, and will probably be moved from the hospital to a rehab facility at the end of the week!
  14. Feeling guilty 'cause I had to stay home sick today. Didn't want to give my mom what I had. Fortunately, she had another visitor.
  15. Mom is much more herself today. She even got to eat some chocolate pudding!
  16. Jersey diners rule.
  17. Mom's improving, but can't sleep & is hallucinating. I am exhausted. Fortunately, my sis is here for the weekend to take over some visits.
  18. Mom sitting up, breathing on her own and talking a bit. She's very afraid, but improving all the time.
  19. Docs working on getting heart pump out today. If that goes well, ventilator will be reduced until it's OK to extubate.
  20. Mom able to nod and shake her head a bit in response this evening; chose Tibetan music to listen to on her CD player by nodding.
