  4. Thanks, patrons! 9,525 items have been checked out of the Children's Room this month. Still 2 more days before we move out! Please borrow!
  5. Thank you to the kind patron who donated Harry Potter & the Order of the Phoenix on CD! We needed a copy.
  6. Christmas stories, music, decorating and holiday cooking books are all out on display. I think we have every Xmas CD ever made!
  7. Library will be closed Thursday & Friday for Thanksgiving. Open 9-5 on Sat. 11/28 with free movie showing of "My Sister's Keeper" at 2pm.
  8. lots of people giving our children's books a home for the next couple of weeks--shelves are looking a little empty!!
  9. Come to our free Saturday Matinee tomorrow at 2:00pm to see Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure.
  10. Adult circulation desk and reference desk are now reopen for business with swanky new carpeting!

  12. Marveling at how some people think that yellow "Caution" tape, marking carpet installation areas, somehow doesn't apply to them! Sheesh!
  13. Top floor all re-carpeted and we're moving the furniture, shelves and books back in. Installers now on Main Floor. We're still open!

  16. Egads! What a difference the new carpet makes! Getting my first glimpses this afternoon and it looks GREAT! The library looks new again!
  17. Hearing ripping/shredding as 22-yr old carpet is removed from library's top floor. Anxious to see our "new blue hue" installed later today!
  18. Five patrons have already come in to check out their 10 books to help us empty the Children's Room for carpeting--only 19, 950 books to go!
  19. Free showing of great Pixar movie "UP" tomorrow (Saturday) at 2pm in the Lecture Hall. Adults will love it as much as children!
  20. Library catalog is back up! All is well, at least until Monday when carpeting project begins! Feel excitement and dread at the same time!
