  1. Noticed that the DVLA has had a ‘clamp down’ on road tax dodgers on the Lawe Top.
  2. I've spotted 4 cars that have been clamped for not having road tax.
  3. I’m going to ask the Beacon’s editorial team to consider doing a piece in the next newsletter.
  4. Road tax dodgers should face heavy penalties. Usually it also means they don’t have valid motor insurance or an MOT.
  5. I think I've just recovered from last night's canvassing session in Biddick Hall!

  7. Out canvasing this evening then off to Aneesa's for dinner.
  8. This morning's Select Committee on Jobs, Regeneration, Enterprise & Resources ended with members on all sides agreeing a course of action.
  9. I thought that the chair (Cllr Jim Sewell) performance was by far & away the best I’ve seen from him.
  10. He deserves a lot of credit for encouraging the committee to do what it was tasked to do i.e. scrutinise the council.
  11. I was pleasantly surprised to see Cllr Sewell take the lead on such an important issue as the budget – credit where credit is due.
  12. Just reading about the Data Protection Act.
  13. THE GAZETTE IN CRISIS. Thought this http://www.editorialjobs.co.uk/ might interest those still looking to abandon a sinking ship.
  14. @cllrharrington you can read more about South Tyneside's new chief exec on our website @ http://achanceforchange.co.uk/?p=211
  15. If you have'nt been out yet take my advice and wrap up warm.
  16. Found this afternoon's meeting with the new Chief Exec constructive.
  17. Off to meet the new Chief Executive of South Tyneside Council. No doubt he will have been briefed!
  18. Told you the Gazette is falling to bits! Now the sign has fallen off and smashed into pieces. Surley not a sign of things to come is it?
  19. IS THE GAZETTE IN CRISIS?
  20. Plummeting sales, falling advertising revenues, record losses, borrowing approaching half a billion pounds, staff jumping a sinking ship ..
