Big meeting tomorrow with contractor and architect: need to lay down the law. Again *sigh*.

The hospital is trying to shrink, again. I'm trying to fight it, again. The joys of construction. Neighbors house wants to fall, too.
Oh, about half of our basement walls are finished! Pics to follow soon.
Apparently the contractor and architect decided to remove out acoustical ceiling tiles from the plan. News to me. Not good news, either...
Rebar goes in tomorrow, concrete gets poured on Thursday, basement/foundation should be fully poured by next week.
Now that our basement is fully dug out, I hope we don't wind up with a pool tonite - or that we get delayed tomorrow.
We have a bulldozer. We have no fence. We have torn-up ground. We have begun!
Mtg w/ builder: Awesome. Mtg w/ architect: Awesome. Site works begins tomorrow, excavation begins Tuesday. And we might've saved $$$!!
About to meet with the builder to "finalize" finishes and materials and go over revised budget and V.E. proposal.
Excavation finally begins Friday the 18th(?). This is not a recording. I promise.
Trying to find out, and fix, why the contractor neglected to put oxygen lines in his budget. This is a hospital, after all.
@PetKnows We're actually located in Philadelphia. Although we are wishing the best for people and pets in Iowa.
July doesn't help. Oh, and have had to yell at both the contractor and arch for, well, almost everything. Wonder what could happen next?
So, we got the signature from our neighbor for the underpinning. Now the city is telling us it might be reviewed by JULY!!!
adjusting our Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) engineering proposal. should have been done 2 weeks ago ::sigh::
The City is now requiring an underpinning permit. And an approval for underpinning from our neighbor. So construction is delayed - again.
And we're already tapping into construction contingency a bit. Haven't started building, and we're short on money...
Getting your contractor, architect, and new engineer on the same page is hard, hard work.
City added a new permit we have to get: Underpinning. Fun. Just because some old houses collapsed. Le sigh.
I think I need an actual whip to get some people to do what they say they are going to do.
