  1. Once a goal is set, get started whether or not you have what you need to accomplish it. The means will become apparent along the way.
  2. All the little things, all the effort and persistence, all sweat and tears go on unseen. The world only notices pinnacles.
  3. Right place at the right time has a lot to do with success. Successful people put themselves in the way of success more often.
  4. Everything happens fast on TV. Sometimes it has the tic of real life - accelerated 10,000 times. You have to have patience in real life.
  5. I attribute most of the setbacks that I have experienced (quite a few) to a lack of forethought, planning, and preparation on my part.
  6. Like a puppy, sales training (forethought, planning, and preparation) is for life, not just for a day off!
  7. Sales wealth can be measured by the number and quality of the qualified opportunities identified. Sales poverty is the lack of them.
  8. Wealth is the difference between income and spending. Poverty is the inevitable result of spending more than is available.
  9. Burning tomorrows resources to meet today's needs is a poor man's solution. Poverty overtakes those who aren't poor when they start.
  10. Breakthroughs are not lucky hap stance but the culmination of a thousand hidden actions and a hundred subtle alignments.
  11. Something interesting will happen eventually. Life is too short. Instead, let's make it happen.
  12. Better performance in sales or any pursuit first depends on a change in thinking.

  17. My greatest growth and most profound learning has come from taking on projects that were beyond my experience.
