This would not have been possible with the Mayor's original funding level.

I'm glad Council didn't go w/ Mayor Scott's proposal of 10% Cap. Impr. i.e. road repair & put the funding to the level its been in the past.

Is increasing the budget about 20% since 2008 stripping the budget?

We need to get Cap. Improv. funding to the same level as before the income tax increase.

The 7.7% pay increase was approved. This was to high. We need to be fiscally responsible.

Looks like Council might pass a pay ord. that averages 2.6%. The average 1st qtr gov. emp. raise is 1.8%. We need to control our expenses.

Hopefully Council does't pass this tax on business. We should be encouraging businesses.

Council voted 4-3 to pass the City wide parking ban. There are way that limit parking w/o a blanket ban. Just to be clear I was a NO vote!

I don't think a blanket ban on parking is the best way to go.

The article doesn't mention 2009 had 27 pay periods and 2010 has 26. A 26 pay period 2009 compared to 2010 would be close to a 10% increase.

I don't understand why only a 0-2% increase in non-personnel spending won't work.
