@ I found a Dell that also has an i7 instead of Xeon that is $1000 cheaper. The 27" is still a good deal.

Suprising, just priced a Dell Quad Core desktop (no screen) and compared it to 27" iMac with i7. iMac is $2550 vs Dell $3000. Dell is slower

@ the non-efficient way we do it in climate chambers is run the compressor full time, and PID control electric resistance heaters.

@ that seems hard on the compressor. I can't imagine it likes switching on and off at high rates. But I guess you've done it before
