@damienstevens Avast claims to detect and remove spyware, too. I have also used ad-aware's free tools and spysweeper and been pleased.
@damienstevens I agree with the Norton dilemma. I use Avast now. It is effective and free for home use. PCMag says Avast=>Norton.
