  4. Just pre-paid $2,000 for a week’s supply of a drug for Nat called Novoseven. A much better name: Getusedtoeatingalotofoatmeal.
  5. Blood cross-match w/Nat near perfect, she'll spend the remaining time before surgery in hospital to monitor electrolytes. I check in Friday.
  6. Nat's condition is now critical, no time to wait list in Bangkok so we are confirmed for liver transplant in Chiang Mai on Dec. 8th. Go Nat!
  7. Chosen Ramathibodi hospital Bangkok for Nat's liver tx. 23 infant patients since 2001, 85% successful, higher than any US childrens hospital

  15. Back home in Chiang Mai w Nat & mom. 4 meds 3x/day, but she's eating like a horse and happy. Drain stitches come out Sunday+blood draw.
  16. Day 14@Chiangmai Ram Hospital. Nat's starting to gain weight again, liver function slowly coming back, no complications. Could come home TH.
  17. Day 5 @Chiangmai Ram hospital, Nat's in ICU, off respirator & feeding tube this morning. Looking strong & already off sedatives. Grateful.
  18. Enjoying a beautiful day in Chiang Mai before Nat's bypass surgery tonight. Optimism is the currency of positive change (just made that up)
  19. In Phuket with Nam and Nat at the JW Marriott Resort & Spa for the week. Great spot on the Andaman Sea. Fantastic lobster sushi last night!
  20. Stayed on main roads today, so did farmers herding their cattle, so it was stop & go at points, and a test of my cow pie navigation skills
