  1. As a journalist, I was happy to see the word "absconds" in the headline about Bruce running off with the ballet. #TheDarkKnight
  2. Rewatched THE DARK KNIGHT, found some enjoyable moments..like the American Psycho reference when he jumps onto Crane's van.
  3. @RewindStopPlay But you're right, @BradMcHargue is smoking something strong. DRIVE was one of only three 2011 films I gave 4 stars.
  4. @BradMcHargue Over time I've embraced the view of Standard as a reformed man, a nice guy... thus, he somewhat welcomes Driver as an ally.
  5. @RewindStopPlay This adds credence to the theory of Driver being a monster, one whose presence wreaks havoc on the lives of others.
  6. @RewindStopPlay I guess my point is that while it's part of his character, it should not define him. He's a new man forced into 1 last job.
  7. @RewindStopPlay It seemed so insignificant to me. He's standoffish for maybe 25 seconds after getting beat up. The rest, he's fine.
  8. @casciato SI never got the sense of Standard being tough despite coming from the big house. We 1st see him toasting, turning over new leaf.
  9. @casciato I don't see that so much as hostility, but as a ego-driven act - he is the protector... but he recognizes he can't fight it alone.
  10. @casciato Sure, he's reluctant to air his dirty laundry after he gets beat up, but he breaks bread with the guy with his wife and their kid.
  11. @casciato From their first interaction, Standard is friendly. He leaves him alone w/ her in hallway instead of asserting himself as her man.
  12. @BradMcHargue As for the violence, I wasn't expecting it, but it added, if not tension, than an unease that anyone could pop off, anytime.
  13. @BradMcHargue Have to disagree. Only thing that really bugged me was how openly Standard embraced Driver when he comes home from jail.
  14. Most likely in the next 50 years: A cure for AIDS, an atheist president or a Royals World Series victory?
  15. I yelled "YOLO" at a Buddhist and he punched me.
  16. Make it Suntory Time! RT @JurassicGriffin: I think I'm finally done the out of my house stuff today. Time for some relaxing times.
