  1. Interesting contrast to US corp elearning, which often doesn't include in-person assessment (or decent evaluation of any kind!) #vetes09
  2. Clint Smith: self-paced elearning in Australian businesses often includes human support, esp. due to assessing performance on job #vetes09
  3. @philip_1956 Rather than believe, we could *do* it. It's not as hard as going to the moon, so skeptics can easily prove or disprove.
  4. Australian market for corp elearning development seems really different from US. Govt funding affects design choices, for example. #vetes09
  5. @rnarchana Or maybe I'm just getting confused. Time for coffee! #vetes09
  6. @rnarchana Sorry for the confusion. I was retweeting a panel moderator's question, not asking the Q myself. #vetes09
  7. I'd vote for somehow including instructional design when defining "mature" use of elearning (not mainly tech or quantity) #vetes09
  8. Per Peter Higgs: it's not just the content. Instructional design adds value. #vetes09
  9. Per @regant: we need quality check on that freely available content. #vetes09
  10. Q for panel: If content is freely available, what's the role of instructional design, formal elearning? #vetes09
  11. At the same time, I agree with Clark that elearning is too often treated as a commodity. #vetes09
  12. Clint Smith: we in education are snobbish about self-paced elearning. #vetes09
  13. I agree with @roseg that ppl who have grown up with or are comfortable with technology don't view it as a separate tool. IDs take note.
  14. Lots of Elearning & the Science of Instruction, book I recommend, is online here: http://tinyurl.com/y8pwnx3. Thanks mfubib! #vetes09
