  5. @cathredfern I can imagine, that volume of rainfall in such a short space of time makes life pretty hairy with even the smallest burns
  6. @cathredfern @LondonHiker sorry to hear that. wild up there when in spate. Glad they are safe and no doubt drying off in the Old Forge!
  7. Some nice new pics in our Cape Wrath Trail Flickr group: cl.ly/2F231t3L1l2F39…

  9. @cemaster sounds like it will be a superb trip!
  10. @LondonHiker Sunday looks awful, but other than that it's looking ok, but unseasonably chilly. Needed most of my autumn gear last week
  11. .@LondonHiker apparently the route is still open but there are diversions in place above Achnashellach due to the forestry work
  12. @cemaster first CWT "section" is ideal, with transport links at Fort William and Strathcarron. Should take around seven days
  13. Hardest single leg of the Cape Wrath Trail? Probably Kinloch Hourn to Shiel Bdg or Inchnadamph to Glendhu. Hard call.
  14. Heading back to Inverness. Book research now fully complete. I reckon the first section to Strathcarron is probably hardest.
  15. Cold icy sleet on the hills today and a big low pressure system on Sunday. There's no easy time to walk the Cape Wrath Trail
  16. Enjoying a well earned cup of tea at the Strathcarron hotel twitter.com/CWT_Guide/stat…
  17. RT @rdavidian: Take precautions against ticks. Some tips. cl.ly/1a42332A3x2T3V…
  18. The route from Achnashellach via Easan Dorcha is currently closed due to forestry activity, so you'll need to go via Coulin Pass.
  19. Kit gently drying out at Whitefalls bunkhouse in Killian. Great day over Falls of Glomach, on to Strathcarron tomorrow
