  1. @rganguly Yeah, using it as an excuse to force me to go to the gym.
  2. Glad I got a personal trainer. I haven't felt such an exhilirating sense of "thank God that's over for a week" since my jr. high math tutor.
  3. Profoundly satisfied by a pretzel sandwich and mulled cranberry tea from @SigmundPretzel. New Yorkers, check this place out!
  4. @ZAThomas Good point.
  5. @atomicbird Totally! Steve Cropper is exactly what I had in mind.
  6. @kirilnyc Yeah, it's a cliche--and people do it because it appeals to programmers' egos :-).
  7. Loving Colbert as Jay-Z: "M&M Store, Disney Store, I’m in heaven/I own this town from 41st to 47" http://bit.ly/5DPgKk /via @meowrey
  8. @manton You're like a hard working session musician programmer.
  9. @itfrombit I think if I ever have to put out an ad like that, I'll ask for "folk singer" engineers.
  10. Nothing makes me more skeptical of a company than an ad looking for "rockstar" engineers. Give me "quietly competent" engineers any day.
  11. @mike9r This is the first of their apps where the approach hasn't worked for me. It's a utility app like Mail, not a widget like calculator.
  12. @joericioppo The iPhone Twitter client market has turned me into a bitter old man when it comes to UX. I shouldn't be such a grouch.
  13. @joericioppo No, not making fun, sorry! I'm trying to learn about Core Animation, and you've got some nice posts on the subject!
  14. @joericioppo Nice blog, BTW :-).
  15. @joericioppo I don't think Birdfeed is flashy. We avoided custom UI and tried very hard to simply do things "the Apple way" when we could.
  16. Pastebot is well done, but as with many apps that get attention for flashy UI, I can't help but feel it'd be better if it was less "clever."
  17. @PolarBearFarm Seems to be what happened with Emoji!
  18. @nk I've been making that point for awhile: http://bit.ly/75p2Og Personally, though, I don't think Foursquare completely gets it either.
  19. @laughingsquid Wow, that's exciting news! I think having you guys around will be a great thing for the NYC tech community.
  20. RT @rsa: In the early days, before we were called Square, I designed a brand for us that I'm still pretty happy with. http://twitpic.co ...
