  1. @JaseLP "Far too nice" to call W a Christian Democrat? Why? I think his worst is exactly their response to crises.
  2. @JaseLP @dmataconis W = Christian Democrat. Pro-market in theory, pro-biz in practice, & intervened "when people hurt."
  3. Easily the best rendition of "O Holy Night" is in Swedish. Jussi Björling, the perfect tenor: http://3.ly/2aX
  4. My interview with Tom Campbell, CA-GOV candidate, at The Next Right http://3.ly/haA and QandO http://3.ly/99x
  5. Overheard at New Orleans Int'l Airport: random girl to Miss Mississippi, "Oh, you look so pretty! They should allow you to board first!"
  6. Coming into LAX on a clear night was awesome. A sea of lights from horizon to horizon. Also, girl wearing "Miss Mississippi" sash on flight.
  7. Yes! Thunderstorm forecast for New Orleans changes to cloudy for the hours I'm flying through later today!
  8. @JonHenke The RT feature's not so bad. I see some avatars I haven't seen before; otherwise it hasn't affected anything.
  9. With Democrats in power, suddenly Michael Cohen thinks the Founding Fathers wanted naked majoritarianism. http://3.ly/1FU
  10. Can't believe the Lakers are getting crushed in the 2nd half, for the 2nd game in a row.
  11. What kind of mechanic breaks an oil cap and neglects to even tell the customer? Did they not think I'd find out?
  12. @JonHenke I fell asleep during both Blade Runner and Scarface, haven't seen Chinatown, & think the others on that last tweet are overrated.
  13. @PatrickRuffini Oof, and the notheast of the district is where Owens is strongest.
  14. @jasonkenney And the "guy with the most money off the bat" is by definition risking the most, counting on demand to make investment pay off.
  15. @jasonkenney What makes it "artificial demand"? Demand is real. And please explain "exclusive"/"monopoly" comments.
  16. @jasonkenney Access to capital is a barrier, but that's also the case in a free market. Got a better idea for privatizing than auction?
  17. @jasonkenney The highest bidder will be the firm that expects to get the greatest value out of it, hence the highest demand.
  18. @jasonkenney Well, in privatization, isn't highest-bidder the way to go? What better alternatives are there? Also, what makes it a monopoly?
  19. @sterlace You win, sir. Hat's off.
  20. @jasonkenney @AdamBitely (3) Exits & roads vs. rest stops: difference of degree, not kind.
