  1. RT @Yuricon: Looking for a gift for a lesbian friend? 25% off 'Yuri Monogatari 6' by Various on Amazon! http://bit.ly/2oI2Mv
  2. @swanjun I saw that movie when I was in high school, and that scene had a lasting impression on me. Ruined me forever for marketers.
  3. @swanjun Exactly! Wow, not too many people get that reference any more!
  4. @swanjun I learned it from the Beatles. :)
  5. @swanjun My kids hate going down there, even though they are 15 and 16. It is pretty grotty.
  6. @swanjun It would make it less interesting, but I have a fieldstone foundation (under the stucco and PVC) and it's sort of crumbly.
  7. @swanjun We just had our stairs redone, and the masons said they could probably fix a good deal of what's wrong with our basement, too.
  8. @joykim I hear you! For some reason I can never think of much to say about Yotsuba&!
  9. RT @debaoki: RT @mbeasi "yaoi manga fans: enter my @digitalmanga giveaway!" http://bit.ly/7F7Rwt
  10. @LyleMasaki We have a restaurant here that has fresh cheeses with lavender that are just delicious. It's easily overdone, though.
  11. @LyleMasaki I never used to like the taste of lavender—too much like soap—but now I like it in goat cheese, with a touch of chili.
  12. @LyleMasaki St Genis-Pouilly is tiny—when I lived there there was a working cattle barn on the main road. But they had a fancy patissier
  13. @LyleMasaki The ones Deb gave me were called Vice, and they had odd things like figs and lavender in them. I think they were from SF.
  14. @LyleMasaki The name on the box is Sebastien Brocard, and they are actually French, not Swiss—from the town we used to live in.
  15. They remind me of the ones @debaoki gave me at NYCC: studded with pistachios, candied orange peel, and other nontraditional treats.
  16. Meanwhile I am munching on some odd but delicious chocolates our Thanksgiving guests brought from Geneva.
  17. My daughter has a cold, so loud complaints are being heard throughout the house. Had to make broccoli-cheese soup for her stat!
  18. @Yuricon @mbeasi Also, a previous owner nailed baby food jar lids to the rafters so he could store his nails and screws overhead.
  19. @Yuricon @mbeasi It's as if someone tried, in a half-hearted way, to replicate a street in the south of France. In my basement.
  20. @Yuricon @mbeasi Mine has wood lattice, stucco-ish paint, and PVC pipes cut in half to look like roof tiles coming down from the corners.
