  1. Looking for an Amazon-free database... http://booksellerbynight.wordpress.com/2009/12/03/reinventing-the-database-wheel/
  2. That should be "database" in the previous Tweet. I need coffee.
  3. I'm looking for an online author base that **DOESN'T** reference Amazon.com, nor suggest that one shops there. Frustrating as an indie.
  4. RT @p_m_cryan I have a "porch" book, a "bathtub" book, a "bus" book, & two "bed" books currently being read. You?
  5. @KatherineBoG Yes, yes, yes. ARCs need dates on the spine. 'Twould make reviewing so much easier.
  6. Time to revive both this Twitter feed & to get real entries up at Bookseller By Night. Call it blogger's block, becuase I am not a spambot.
  7. NECBA has a CafePress store! If you love a New England children's bookseller, take a gander! http://www.cafepress.com/NECBA
  8. Spent yesterday at The Great American Bargain Book Show in Boston. Was greatly tempted to pick up the VAMPIRATES series of hardcovers.
  9. Continued... Am rather proud of the title "Radio dreams, ghostly screams, and a Chocogator".
  10. Readercon 20, as told at http://bit.ly/1O1j
  11. This week's bathtub re-read book is Michael Palmer's SILENT TREATMENT. He had me at "Green Dolphin Street".
  12. Finally changed the background & avatar on this Twitter account, to match my WordPress blog more closely. They call this "rebranding", no?
  13. Just finished FOOL by @theauthorguy. After turning last page, went right back to first page & started re-reading. That rarely happens.
  14. @Realtimedracula Thanks for the follow! Trying to revive both this Twitter feed & the blog itself [Bookseller By Night, over at WordPress.]
  15. I spent yesterday in Boston for our quarterly NECBA meeting. Field trips to Candlewick and to Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. Mind-opening & fun!
  16. @AaronsBooks Sounds like some HUGE ambitious projects. Wishing you much success.
  17. Breaking Twitter silence. It's been a busy two weeks here since BEA, including research into how to Twitter at NEXT year's BEA.
  18. Here in my favorite city, in a pizzeria Internet cafe. See all youse bibliophiles tomorrow.
  19. I'm packed for BookExpo America. A six-hour drive in a hot car today, & then air-conditioned trains to & from for the rest of the week.
  20. @ACBChildrens My favourite, my absolute favourite children's book of all time, is THE PHANTOM TOLLBOOTH by Norton Juster & Jules Feiffer.
