  1. Great SCB game nite yesterday: Krieg und Frieden, Ad Astra, Maori, Dancing Dice, and Thebes. @nutpunch & Greg Parker were special guests.
  2. @nutpunch Good luck with Emerald. I learned on BSW, which is like getting some expert to set the whole thing up & play it with you.
  3. Santa brought Roll thru the Ages & Sorry Sliders. Though now it's time for multiplayer co-op console killing with son in Left 4 Dead 2.
  4. @nutpunch Do you lie in Oltre Mare about the pirates?
  5. @nutpunch surprised me with a Festivus/early birthday gift of that cool Meeple People mini poker chip set. Thanks, Dave!
  6. @craftybeans Right, but I kept Bananagrams over Pick Two because of the easier "scoring" and the zippered packaging. :-)
  7. Tried Maori again, this time 2er, basic rules, with Candy. Got almost all rules right this time :-). She liked its look & short length.
  8. @nutpunch I liked Late Bronze even though it made the game longer. Maybe because of that. No one really traded, however.
  9. I messed up rules to Maori, but it was still ok. Hoping for better when I get them right!
  10. Game nite was Roll Thu the Ages: Late Bronze x2, Maori, and Keltis x2. All new to me, tho I'd played RttA and Lost Cities Board Game before.
  11. @nutpunch How has Hab & Gut? I've been curious since I know it uses share-with-neighbor cards somewhat similar to Tahuantinsuyu.
  12. Yea! Siggins & I are making plans for another podcast. Won't be for a little while, but I'm already looking forward to it myself. :-)
  13. Maybe twice each year I get in a game over lunch hour. Yesterday we did Settlers (turnier jumpstart) and good ol' Hearts.
  14. Game nite was oldies Formula De (well, D) and Wyatt Earp. I like one of those. :-)
  15. Also need to finally see what M.U.L.E. is all about. Never had a C64 or Atari computer, so I missed it back then. http://www.planetmule.com
  16. I'm not fond of the semi-realtime interface, but JSP has some good online games I need to try. RT @BoardgameNews http://tr.im/GVO9 #games
  17. Ehh--In Our Time's program about The Silk Road was just ok. I would've liked to hear more about the economics of its trade.
  18. Current BBC podcast In Our Time is about The Silk Road, also the subject of a few boardgames. Looking forward to it on flight home.
  19. Thought I'd record a podcast on this work trip, but guess what? It's been filled with work. I'm going to bed. At least I've taken notes.
  20. BGTG 99 - Ten Years of Essens: Chris left a comment after the previous podcast (anticipating this year's Essen), as... http://bit.ly/3Ge4kS
