  2. There are regional shortages of pumpkins, esp in New England, the northeast, Arkansas and other areas that had a very rainy June & July.
  3. Sunny and cool in most of the U.S. today - perfect day for picking blueberries, raspberries, peaches!
  4. In both cases, crops rebound quickly when weather normalizes, so a few days after rains stop in the NE, or a rain in the SE,call the farms!
  5. Heavy rains in the northeast put many crops behind schedule, just as a lack of rain in the southeast caused blueberries to slow to ripen.
  6. Blueberries are about the start throughout the South. Look for them in late June and July in the midwest and northeast.
  7. Blackberries are finishing in the hotter areas, like Florida and Texas; they're just starting in Georgia and the rest of the South,
  8. Strawberries are almost finished in most areas, except the far north and some cooler areas. This may be the last weekend.Call before you go!
  9. Blueberries are starting to turn blue on my plants (Atlanta, GA). Early varieties will begin in the next week in the deep South & hot areas.
  10. In colder areas, New England, upper Midwest, etc strawberries should start in the next week or two; call/email the farm ahead of your visit.
  11. Strawberries are fading in the deep South - call ahead to be sure of supply. They're in full swing in the central US and mid Atlantic.
  12. I went strawberry picking today(GA) GREAT! Reports from NJ & across the country report fantastic picking. Get there EARLY & always call 1st

  14. Strawberries are ready in AL, AR, AZ, CA, FL, GA, LA, MS, SC, TN, TX! Give the fields a day to dry out after rains, but get there early!
