  1. Madcap action comedy IT'S A MAD MAD MAD MAD WORLD (1963) has jaw-dropping stuntwork, especially cars and planes. Big influence on '1941'.
  2. I guess so. But I'd also like to know any actual reason. RT @fotdonline: ...studios that don't think they will make any money off the films
  3. Glad to hear THUNDERBIRDS still has fans (and new fans) in the US! RT @umbrellashoppe: My son and I are watching "Thunderbirds Are Go"
  4. NIGHT OF THE CREEPS and THE GATE - why such a very long wait to have these entertaining cult horror films released on DVD. Hmm? Anyone?
  5. Thunderbird 3 pilot Alan Tracy has a pet alligator - true! #Thunderbirds #GerryAnderson
  6. In all, a hundred times better than BARTON FINK. Perhaps I should have blogged a review and not Tweeted it? THE DAY OF THE LOCUST (1975)
  7. An apocalyptic climax, fit for a horror film. Hollywood (Boulevard) palm trees in flames. Wow. THE DAY OF THE LOCUST (1975).
  8. Met Karen Black a few years back, but talked about EASY RIDER, Alfred Hitchcock and BURNT OFFERINGS. She was certainly big in the 1970s.
  9. Homer Simpson vs Freddie Krueger! There's something you don't see every day! THE DAY OF THE LOCUST (1975).
  10. A young Jackie Earle Haley is in there, dressed like Shirley Temple. Not sure if he's playing a girl or a boy. THE DAY OF THE LOCUST (1975).
  11. Donald Sutherland appears a third the way through the film with the line, "I'm Homer Simpson." DAY OF THE LOCUST (1975)
  12. Delighted to see a cameo from William Castle as an irate movie director. Ooh, and the stylish Ennis-Brown House. DAY OF THE LOCUST (1975)
  13. THE DAY OF THE LOCUST (1975) is way weirder than I remember it. Desperate characters trying to make it in 1930s Hollywood.
  14. #realfilmsnotpornfilms The Undying Monster, Carry On Regardless, The Tingler, The Green Slime, Going South, Midnight Cowboy, Easy Rider
  15. JURASSIC PARKs 1993, 1997, 2001... they used to be every four years... RT @dreadcentral: Jurassic Park 4 Talk? http://bit.ly/4qAQ8i #horror
  16. Time I added more posts about BARBARELLA. I've been collecting tidbits and articles about the 1968 movie for years. http://bit.ly/46Qy7x
  17. Re: BARBARELLA - also want to know who re-voiced Marcel Marceau (ironic, no?). I'm hearing Geoffrey Bayldon and Robert Rietty. Also Alfie?
  18. Re: BARBARELLA - DVD transfer is in need of restoration - dozens of scratches and neg dirt per second, presumably at the reel changes.
  19. Not to be disrespectful, but Fenella Fielding always sounded that much more suggestively sexual than Joan. RT @stevesaragossi
  20. IMDB also says Joan Greenwood voiced The Great Tyrant in BARBARELLA. Again, I always thought it was Fenella Fielding. Anyone confirm?
