  2. First morning at Burning Man. Walked about half the city last night - a lot of creativity and hospitality. We have nice neighbors.

  4. Caught six or so good waves body surfing at Manhattan Beach, a workout but great fun. Haven't been ocean swimming since Aruba in Nov '07.
  5. At airport going to LA for RSN meeting. Have swim suit; hoping to swim in the ocean this afternoon. Feeling dialyzed after 5 nights in a row
  6. 80s today. At lake made dog wear life jacket so I wouldn't have to; used him like a kick board to swim out so he can tow me in & be a hero
  7. 104 degrees outside. Surgeon signed off on swimming. off to the lake!
  8. Tony installed my new LG flat panel TV - what a difference! 50 pounds lighter, 50 times better and 50 more channels. Why did I ever resist?
  9. Surgeon reports pathology all positive. No evidence of spread; it was even smaller in person than it appeared via CAT scan. Case closed!
  10. I'm home. Yippee. I'm looking for a few days of rest. I expect a call about the preliminary pathology this afternoon.
  11. Surgeon signed my release, will be going home today. I am looking forward to seeing the dog and lying in my own bed.
  12. Enough gurgling for the normal menu tonight. Uneventful 3h run after self cannulating this afternoon. Home tomorrow? Yes! If it's up to me.
  13. tweeted too soon ... my bowels haven't "woken up" so it looks like I'll be here at least to tomorrow; I'll have to dialyze inpatient today
  14. Haven't dialyzed inpatient since my very first run(9/90) this my 1st hospital stay Hope tomorrow I'm home 2 dialyze. Keep the streak going!
  15. Thank you all for the good thoughts and prayers. I've gone for a short walk and am very much hoping I'll be home tomorrow
  16. I have a great view from the 11th floor looking east. I can see the new Seattle Kidney Center and can glimpse lake WA in a couple places
  17. I went for short walk and am now sitting up waiting for some orange jello and apple juice to be delivered. Pretty sore but not too bad.
  18. Surgeon says all went as expected. Kidney removed lapriscopicaly (sp?). Bill is in recovery room for another hour or so. All good. Yeah!
  19. Bill is out of surgery and in the recovery room. We are waiting for the surgeon to come talk to Sue.
  20. The OR nurse just spoke with Sue - everything is going as expected.
