  1. @kalynskitchen Definitely no. Belatedly I realize Up is rated PG. I thought Disney cartoon would be fine; now I know better!
  2. Turns out the movie Up (in a theater in 3D) is WAY too scary for my four-year-old. Pricey lesson.
  3. Wild piglets vs. mountain lion fighting again behind the house in SF. Evidently Animal Control hadn't had any reports of wild pigs in city
  4. Dear PR person: An email pitch to me that starts out, "Dear Mommy Blogger" is unlikely to get me to read on. Personalization good.
  5. Keep getting recognized by readers when out & about, only to find out about it later. Note to self: behave in public, misbehave in private!
  6. My 4yo upset that I threw away the skeleton from dinner's grilled fish. Wanted to make it "swim". Successfully desensitized!
  7. Kukje Supermarket in Daly City converted their self-serve panchan bar into deli-style prepackaged panchan. Wound up buying more on impulse.
  8. On a conference call for speakers on the upcoming BlogHer panel: food blogging in the time of recession.
  9. Survived hosting our first sleepover for a 4yo friend of son's (mom in hospital). Little girls are definitely different from boys! Fun.
  10. Having misgivings about living publicly. Where to draw the line?
  11. My local source changed their nazook recipe. Now more of a slightly sweet yeast bread instead of puff pastry. Not a fan.
  12. I'm judging a lunch blogger contest where the finalists are eligible for a $2,500 prize. Try your hand? http://www.kiwiforlunch.com/
  13. Son's summer school session starts today! Am I a bad mom for having looked forward to it?
  14. @pleasurepalate Yep, Mandalay is a Burmese restaurant in SF -- it hits the spot.
  15. Ichiban Kan closing down online store, last day this Tuesday. Such a pity! RIP, but retail stores stay open. http://tinyurl.com/mabaqn
  16. @OfACheshireGrin I hear you about controlling who sees you, but if your tweets are public anyone can see them via the web.
  17. @FoodFete Great NYT article RE tech PR; thanks. Reminds me of what I don't miss about it.
  18. But why does it matter if a bot follows your Twitter feed? It's not intrusively pushing anything on me, as far as I can tell. Still clueless
  19. Question: When/why do you block someone from following you on Twitter?I don't quite get it.
  20. The young ginger salad at Mandalay restaurant is quite nice -- variation on a tea leaf salad.
