  1. "But at some point as you work your way through an organization, you find pockets of people who don't care that much.": http://bit.ly/7BeEzr
  2. After a day of use, I'm REALLY liking Chrome Bird. Not a nice name at all, but who cares; it's FAST!
  3. Been away; you'd think my kids might pause the DVD and say hello when I arrive, or my wife might chat rather than watch as well. Cuts me.
  4. I love it when my check in comments pay back. It's so easy to find when I changed the service reference because a partner sent a new WSDL.
  5. Tip from Google programming extensions page: "Don't constantly animate your icon. That's just annoying." - I love simple.
  6. Only the OTA can make an attribute for <OperationTime Mon="true"/> rather than <OperationTime Day="Mon"/>. Horrible schema -> horrible code.
  7. Really, when I stop and think about it; I work with a great bunch of people.
  8. Got this great link from @younghunt for quickly getting all your stuff on a virgin install: http://ninite.com/
  9. @aliaspooryorik I'm doing exactly the same thing today. Laughing now at void code like this: catch (Exception ex) {throw;}.
  10. Chrome speed tracer - VERY nice. http://code.google.com/webtoolkit/speedtracer/. Especially drilling to HTTP headers and the Hintlet report.
  11. Finding stuff like 50+ lines of commented code wrapped in "region OLD CODE" show previous coder had no concept of source control.
  12. I read with interest that #beanstalk (great online subversion host) are going to provide Git support. http://beanstalkapp.com/
  13. @stephenrpalmer That's exactly the setup I use. WinMerge and ReSharper made VS nice to use, but VS + TFS = UI-blocking calls (=pain).
  14. Trying to figure out how something works. Get sinking feeling when I read this comment: //TODO: Work out something for this
  15. @ejarlewski Yep, I'm in the office.
  16. Spoiler warning: Looks like tonight's Xmas party is going to be this: http://tr.im/H1dY
  17. Slow progress, but I'll take any progress I can get today.
  18. It's turning into one of those days when, if I had a weapon, I think POSTAL would be on the agenda.
  19. Every now and then you get lucky and VS flashes the title bar to let you know it's busy, but most of the time it's like a bitmap.
  20. tick tock, tick friggin' tock! I probably spend half my damned day waiting on stuff. Arrrghhhh!!!!
