  7. You are not self publishing when you use companies like IUniverse, AuthorHouse, XLibris ... they are all Vanity Publishers
  8. There is no such thing as a "Self Publishing Company". That is the new name used by the Vanity Presses to sound legit.
  9. Best place to start looking for an agent is the Literary Marketplace (LMP). Agents are listed by specialty.

  15. Often what something looks like on your computer monitor, varies greatly on the printed piece. Pay attention to the printer proof
  16. Self Publishing implies that you "self" are the publisher. To be the publisher, you must own the ISBN. Simple as that
  17. If your web developer does not know how to work with API ..... find one who does.
  18. Watch out if you are looking to purchase a single ISBN. Stick with purchasimg them from either RR Bowker or www.selfpublishing.com.
