  1. URL shorteners (bit.ly, tinyurl.com, is.gd, etc.) are super-useful for Twitter and all, but why would you use one in an email?
  2. @hazliya Those're especially fun when you get a Where Are You And Why Aren't You At Work phone call…and you're 1500 miles away.
  3. Hope my morning goes better than the one my snooze button just had.
  4. Dear @southwestair: thanks to your recent promotion, a bunch of friends are visiting me, and cheap. Thank you!
  5. @MandaT "Of COURSE I know his heart. I can see his chest from my podium!"
  6. Recalling voluminous ads in Economist encouraging business to expand to Ireland for that creative Irish mind. Now w/ bonus v. clean language
  7. If you caught those @-replies & curious: the Dáil Éireann (Irish; Cf. house of Congress) just passed a law providing penalties for blasphemy
  8. @dbspin …starting to see links pop up on RTE. That, sir, is a weird and messy situation.
  9. @dbspin Do you have a link to a non-blog news source?
  10. @dbspin That actually passed in full? Most of my responses would probably get you arrested. Amazing.
  11. Can't shake the mental image of Palin and Perry shooting convicts from a helicopter.
  12. "Sarah Palin to Stump for Rick Perry." http://bit.ly/RmCTl They'll meet later with Runsfeld for coffee and to merge to create Megatron. #fb
  13. Found via @shauninman, I'm now WAY more motivated to go see 2012. http://bit.ly/cyop1 2012: It's A Disaster!
  14. @mike_darling and @lchesnutt, you'd probably appreciate this: Philly man falls into vat'o'chocolate, dies. http://bit.ly/6Pgw0 (via @gruber)
  15. In particular: "Is ground beef safe after so long it's freezer-burned through?" (Apparently it'll be "a bit dry." Whatev.) #bachelorqueries
  16. If Google was curious whether I live alone, the recent rash of "how long can I safely store _____ in the freezer" queries should satisfy.
  17. Someone please write a Twitter client that filters out retweets of people I already follow. Or do something smart and @feedafever-ish.
  18. @emilybk Nah. Just set your default Facebook privacy settings to be really restrictive, then add "safe" folks to more permissive groups.
  19. Incidentally: any recommendations for good phò spots in DFW? I know of a few holes-in-wall spots near 635&75 and Bistro B.
  20. Totally jonesing for some phò, but I've got a 12pm meeting and stuff to finish first.
